Zambezi Spectacular

Departure: The "Smoke" on the Horizon
The flight departs from a private helipad near Victoria Falls (either on the Zimbabwe or Zambia side). As the helicopter lifts off, you immediately see the massive column of white mist—Mosi-oa-Tunya—rising into the sky. The initial "to" leg takes you directly toward the river, offering a sense of the vastness of the plateau.
The Heart of the Falls (The 360° Circuit)
The pilot enters a series of orbits over the Victoria Falls themselves. This is the centerpiece of the flight:
Downstream: The Batoka Gorge & The Bridge
The flight then heads "to" the rugged Batoka Gorge. You’ll soar over the Victoria Falls Bridge, watching bungee jumpers or white-water rafters in the boiling "Boiling Pot" below. The helicopter follows the zig-zagging canyons, showing the ancient history of where the falls once stood thousands of years ago.
The "Safari" Leg: Upper Zambezi & National Park
This is the "Spectacular" part of the journey. The aircraft turns upstream, flying low over the Upper Zambezi River and the Zambezi National Park:
The Return: Heading "Fro" to the Base
The final "fro" leg of the flight brings you back toward the helipad. As the helicopter turns, you get one last panoramic view of the falls in the distance, framed by the African bushveld. The descent provides a smooth conclusion to what is widely considered the most complete aerial tour in Southern Africa.
