Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Atlantic Seaboard, Cape Point, FalseBay Scenic Flight

The Atlantic Departure
Taking off from the V&A Waterfront, the flight immediately tracks the Atlantic Seaboard. You’ll soar over the modern architecture of Green Point and the white sands of Clifton and Camps Bay. The scale of the Twelve Apostles mountain range is most impressive from this height, as you fly parallel to the sheer granite walls that drop straight into the turquoise surf.
Hout Bay & Chapman’s Peak
Continuing south, the helicopter rounds the sentinel of Hout Bay harbor, where you can often spot seal colonies on Duiker Island. The route then follows the world-famous Chapman’s Peak Drive. From the air, the road looks like a delicate thread carved into the mountain, suspended between the cliffs and the deep blue of the Atlantic.
Noordhoek to the Tip of Africa
The landscape opens up over the vast, 8-kilometer stretch of Noordhoek Beach, famous for its shipwrecks and horse riders. You then cross over the wilder, fynbos-covered terrain of the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. The climax of the flight is rounding Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope—the southwesternmost tip of the continent. You’ll see the iconic lighthouse perched on the jagged cliffs where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans are often said to "meet" in a clash of currents.
The False Bay Return
The return leg heads north along the False Bay coastline, offering a completely different perspective:
Table Mountain & The City Bowl
The final approach provides a spectacular "backside" view of Table Mountain and the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. As you crest the mountain ridge, the entire City Bowl and the Table Bay harbor reappear, bringing you back for a smooth landing at the Waterfront.
